From the first appointment I noticed an improvement, but I was also impressed by how thorough the assessment and follow-up process was it really helped me to feel more relaxed and reassured about my recovery. Ashley was extremely professional and highly knowledgeable, with a friendly conversational manner that helped to put me at ease at a time when I was suffering from quite a lot of pain. I saw Ashley for an initial consultation and then several follow-up sessions for muscle pain in my back I was able to book my first consultation same day, and was able to book flexibly around my work schedule for all subsequent appointments. Now however all is healed and he is walking around just fine.Ĭould not recommend the services offered by Precision Wellbeing Group more I read some of the other great reviews on here before booking an appointment, and if anything the service I received exceeded my expectations. The follow up X-Ray still showed a fracture so he had to remain in the boot for a further 6 weeks. The outcome was that this guy had to have his foot in a “moon boot” for 6 weeks and then have a follow up X-Ray. Naturally the clinicians couldn’t understand this as it was a method they had never heard of. ![]() You can see the actual X-Ray image of the fracture to the right (permission has been granted to use the picture obviously).īut the best part of this story is that when this guy went in to the A&E department he told them his osteopath thought there was a fracture and had diagnosed it using a tuning fork. Sure enough it was exactly what I suspected. The tuning fork test did indeed cause pain so I recommended this guy goes to hospital to get it checked. The tuning fork vibrates at a certain frequency which in theory aggravates the fracture site causing pain if there is a fracture. The metatarsal bones are the ones you hear footballers break all the time.Īnyway I took out a tuning fork to test for a fracture. I had a feel and the foot felt quite hard so by this point I sespected the 5th metatarsal was fractured. Se we went to the treatment room for a proper look. ![]() The foot looked quite swollen and bruised. So I asked to take a look, then and there on the gym floor, and so he took his shoe and sock off and showed me. ![]() “I twisted it stepping off an escalator… but then I went skiing and it seems to have gotten worse!” A while back a patient of mine stopped me as I was walking through the gym to ask me about his foot.
